DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT COMMUNICATIONS, UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE; KNOXVILLE, TN — 2016-PRESENT

Connects alumni and donors to UTIA impacts through innovative storytelling. Developed the communication and brand presence for UTIA’s $175 million ten-year campaign, which closed in 2022 with $223 million raised. Built a multiagency agricultural awareness campaign with social, video, email, and podcast presence (recognized nationally).

Initiated the strategic communications vision for the UTIA office of advancement as its first-ever communications professional. Developed unique voice and brand for all UTIA alumni, donor, and impact communications and storytelling through a variety of media.

NEWS AND MULTIMEDIA SPECIALIST, CARSON-NEWMAN UNIVERSITY; JEFFERSON CITY, TN — 2013-2014

Pioneered the college’s multimedia approach to marketing through photography, video, and content-rich articles. Created emphasis on emerging media on social, web, and traditional platforms during both a rebrand and website redesign.

CITY BEAT REPORTER AND EDUCATION EDITOR, THE GREENEVILLE SUN; GREENEVILLE, TN — 2012-2013

Led the city of Greeneville through a government restructuring with timely and nuanced daily reporting. Expanded coverage to include photography and video for the emerging web and social media presence. Wrote and designed the weekly education section.
